Meet Dr. Jennifer Roloff

I feel so fortunate to have been able to enter this profession. Each person’s smile is unique only to them, and I love helping them create that aspect of themselves. Being able to smile with confidence and look in the mirror and love what you see is a wonderful gift that we all search for. I feel truly honored to play a role in the creation of someone’s smile.

Having specialized in the field of orthodontics allows me to provide my patients with the very best treatment in achieving their smile goals. Young or old, male or female, every patient is unique, every treatment is different, but the goal is always the same: to give each patient a beautiful smile they can be truly proud of.

I love having the opportunity to watch my patients grow and change as I help them find their smile. My absolute favorite day is when the braces are removed — it’s not only the patient that leaves with an enormous smile on their face, it’s me as well! I believe that orthodontics is a collaborative effort between me and my patients. It’s wonderful to watch each patient rise to the occasion, take ownership of their smile, and help us reach the finish line.

Education and Continuing Education

I grew up in Rothschild, Wisconsin, where I experienced the great benefits of orthodontics at a very young age. I watched as my father, Dr. Dennis Fehrman, changed the lives of those in our community, and I knew that’s what I wanted to do, too. I attended Marquette University School of Dentistry for my Doctorate of Dental Surgery and continued on there for my orthodontic residency, ultimately receiving my certification as an Orthodontic Specialist.

During my undergraduate and dental studies, I spent my free time caring for an awesome young man with Asperger's Syndrome. We learned a lot from each other, and I credit the years spent with him for my ability to better understand and interact with individuals with special needs. Once into my orthodontic residency, I worked nights and weekends as a general dentist. This experience, too, was invaluable, as it kept my eyes open not just to orthodontic treatment needs, but to general dental and general health needs of my patients.

The realm of dentistry and orthodontics is continuously advancing. As such, I have made it my goal to pursue continuing education opportunities whenever they arise. Shortly after joining Fehrman Orthodontics, I completed an extensive course in combined orthodontic/orthognathic surgical technique. I am also an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association, and the Secretary and Guest Lecturer for the Marathon County Dental Society, all of which provide numerous educational opportunities.

Outside the Office

My husband Josh and I are so fortunate to have returned to the Wausau area, where we are happily settled in with our rescue dog Frank and our miniature dachshund Louise. Typically, my free time is spent playing golf, running, doing yoga, reading and hiking with my husband and the dogs. Josh and I absolutely love to travel and spend time outdoors exploring new places! We have a map of the world onto which we pin all the places we have traveled - our hope is to one day fill it with pins!
