Dr. Fehrman's Bio

Dr. Fehrman is a native of central Wisconsin;
he grew up in nearby Clintonville.

After high school, he attended UW-Eau Claire and received his Bachelors degree in 1981. He then continued his education at Marquette University School of Dentistry and received his D.D.S. degree in 1985. During dental school Dr. Fehrman received orthodontic treatment, which created a desire to specialize in the field. Subsequently, he entered the Orthodontic Residency Program at Marquette University and completed his certification and Masters Degree in the specialty of orthodontics in 1987.

An accredited orthodontist is recognized by the American Association of Orthodontists as having completed a two-year intensive post-doctoral residency. Just like other specialists you might see (cardiologists, orthopedists, OBGYN) an orthodontist has highly specialized training, and that training gives them clear insight into how to best align teeth and jaws.

Dr. Fehrman is a member of the county, state and regional chapters of the American Dental Association and American Association of Orthodontics, and the Wisconsin Society of Orthodontists. He has served as president of the Marathon County Dental Society and served on the Ethics Committee for the Wisconsin Dental Association. He is also an active member of several regional dental and orthodontic study clubs.
